In which I’m almost speechless with thanks, but just almost.
I’m still so new to blogging! I looked up my stats and as of today, I’ve been working on my little mooon blog here for just about three months and eighty posts, which seems like both a lot and not that many.
So far, the best part of making this blog has been meeting other like-minded people online. One of the very first blogs I started following on this account is a perfect example — rosyhappylife writes about beauty, food, stationery and more, and seems like a huge sweetheart as well. So what an honor to have them nominate me for a Liebster Award!
Now onto the questions….
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?
Impatient, jittery, and kind. I’m working on the first, don’t want to change the third, and I don’t think there’s anything to be done about the second.
Have you ever carved a pumpkin? If so, what design did you make it?
I leave that to my professional-artist boyfriend — anyone who’s ever seen me try to put on a sticker knows I shouldn’t be carving anything. But I want a Gengar one this year!
Do you believe in the paranormal?
Hm…for myself, and only myself, I don’t believe in ghosts or life after death as many imagine it. But I do think nature has multiple powerful, misunderstood aspects. And it’s the height of conceit to think we even begin to understand what’s out there. So consider me open minded.
Have you ever experienced anything paranormal?
As above, not in any concrete way.
Your ideal day would be what?
I would have normally said shopping in Osaka. But now I just would really like to go out for a long lunch and walk around town and not see my city devastated.
Do you have a favorite treat you’re looking to make this fall?
For some reason, fall makes me think of Rice Krispie treats, which I will then cut out into “spooky” shapes and give to the non-annoying neighbors. Then I will eat the leftover Krispie scraps.
Do you have a hobby you would like to pick up?
It’s not so much that I want to get into it rather that I need to get to it, but I’ve been collecting the parts for the most epic miniature convenience store ever and, with the rate I’m aging, I’d better get on it.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Back to Osaka, where I will nail my feet to the ground until the USA grows the eff up.
What is your go to outfit?
I love long skirts, particularly in awesome patterns (I love Laura Byrnes so much), worn with cardigans or hoodies.
Are you a cat or dog person?
Cats, dogs, Sumikko, Pokemon, spiders, moles, sea slugs, dinosaurs….everything, you name it.
Will you decorate for Halloween or fall this year?
Does buying Halloween-themed plush count?
I’m supposed to nominate some other blogs, though I’m so new my circle is small. But I do know a few good ones — at the very least, I want to recommend these reads! I’ll nominate Marionchan Returns, KS Blogs, and Egghead Luna — and here’s my question list:
- Who’s your favorite Japanese character?
- What made you first get interested in Japan?
- How have your hobbies changed over the time you’ve been a fan?
- What made you start a blog?
- If you could have ten thousand dollars, but you must spend it on your hobbies within an hour, what would you buy?
Thanks again for the award, and thanks to everyone who’s come along on my little blogging adventure. In a really hard and disappointing year, this has been my refuge, and I can’t say thanks enough for that!
