Sumikko Gurashi: Tapioca Park Scene Plush + Tenori Plush Tapi Unicorn

In which I relax in the bliss of Tapioca Park with some dear friends.

Today I received an amiami order (it arrived overnight from Japan to the USA, and I’m still pretty in awe of that!) with so many goodies it’s hard to know where to start. But I couldn’t resist checking out these Tapioca Park-themed plush right away, so that seems like a natural pick.

Here is a much-coveted item for me–the Sumikko Gurashi Tapioca Park Scene Plush, starring everyone’s favorite Meat Dad, Tonkatsu!

He’s the kind of nice dad who’d ride the rides all day, even if they make him a bit dizzy.

Just like all such plush I’ve talked about on here, the quality leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Everything is extremely soft, well sewn, and nicely designed. And I didn’t realize it until I actually received the item, but the Coffee Cup ride spins!

Wheeeeeee, says Tonkatsu, biting back nausea dutifully.

Though I guess if it had taken me much longer, I could have just looked at the tag, which is darling nonetheless.

It’s also how I found out this is called the Coffee Cup ride.

If there’s any disappointment to be had, it’s probably in the cotton candy. The elastic ribbon meant to go over a plush’s hand just didn’t want to open very much for me, so I didn’t push it. It’s still awfully cute.

The included Tonkatsu plush, with his Ebi Furai no Shippo headband and his candy wrapper bottoms, just couldn’t be more adorable.

Literally the mathematical maximum of cuteness.

I couldn’t resist getting one more plush item from this series, the Tenori Plush Tapi Unicorn, and I’m so glad I did. It’s perfect to let another plush get in on the theme park fun.
