Sumikko Gurashi: Tapioca Park Notepads x2

In which we return again to the lovely Tapioca Park, knowing this won’t be our last visit.

I’ve still got some Tapioca Park-themed items to show you–today, let’s look at the standard San-x six-inch-by-four inch notepad, with both of the variations since I couldn’t choose just one.

How many times have I said I love the color palette for this collection? A million, I bet.

I’ll say it one more time, just in case.

I think I’ve also said before how much I like (lower right below) poor Neko’s response to the Ferris Wheel. I never liked the Ferris Wheel either, Neko!

I feel like the Ferris Wheel only has two options for me — boring and terrifying. And I don’t like either of those.

I think what really sold me on this collection was when I found out the Tapioca mascot suit is filled with tiny tapiocas.

Because of course they are.

I realize I’m not doing much translating, but as you can see there isn’t much writing at all, and what’s there is pretty incidental. For example, in the below picture, Neko is commenting on how (ふわふわ, fuwa fuwa) soft the plush are, and the Tapioca say (いっらしゃいませ, irrashaimase) welcome to their candy shop.

You know, stuff like that.

I can’t fault my indecisiveness in this case; these notepads are both so cute I can’t say which one I like more.

I hate how hard the shiny elements make this to photograph, but I do really like the way they accent things.

I’m not a fiend for them as some people are (so sweet!) but these pages really make me want a bubble tea…

I like peach the best.

Line up, everybody!

Hee hee, Zassou in their little hat.

And what’s a day at the park without a nice picture to commemorate it?

I say that, but with the weight I’ve put on during the quarantine, I’m avoiding cameras with all my might for a while.

The cups spin around, and Hokori looks so dapper in their bow tie.

It makes me think of Tonkatsu in his Coffee Cup. ^ – ^

What more can I say? It’s another Tapioca Park product and another absolute delight. And if you’re a fan of this collection, I really recommend snapping up what you can — I went to check a few things at amiami, and things are going fast!
