In which a shrimpy little gift gives me a great big smile.
As I’ve been trying not to bite my fingernails off while we waited for election stuff, I got so behind I wasn’t even unboxing things coming in the mail. Since things have calmed down a bit, the tiniest of bits but a bit nonetheless, I finally got a bit of time to tell you about this Ebi Furai no Shippo Tenori Plush Gift Set!

This little gift set, still available on amiami as of this writing for a decent price of about $16, includes four parts (well, more on that in a second): the Ebi Furai no Shippo tenori plush; a sticker of Hokkori (Dust); a tiny 100-page memo pad, and the crib-type container.

I didn’t realize until I was taking pictures for this blog entry that I was actually wrong above — it has FIVE parts. The blanket Ebi Furai no Shippo is holding can be removed. If you do, it makes a stylish hatlike thing for her Meat Dad Tonkatsu that makes me feel nostalgic for the holidays. ^ – ^

Another thing I didn’t realize is that the “crib” holding everything wasn’t just that, but also a little mini drawer set. Below you can see the drawer pulled out, as well as the sticker and notepad (I didn’t take a picture of the inside, but it’s about a hundred blue-colored pages with an overall design very similar to the front). Everything is great quality, of course, since it’s San-x.

I bought this because there’s no Ebi Furai no Shippo plush I can resist, of course, but now that I have it I actually think it would make a great gift for the Sumikko fan you just don’t know what to buy for. The whole thing only measures about four by five inches, but the high quality plush and stationery items make it feel pretty special. And if you happen to love Tonkatsu and Nisetsumuri more, there’s a set with them too, also still available at amiami for the same price!
