Pokemon: Ceramic New Year Decoration

New Year’s is a big deal in my life for various reasons, and I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a new year so much. People say there’s no reason to think 2021 will be different than 2020, and that’s both true and not true. There’s nothing inherently different about a flip of the calendar page, of course. But if we take it as an opportunity to work on good things, we can use it as a point of change.

My New Year’s tradition involves a big cleaning of the house, and whereas I usually put this off I have been working on it early this year. When I saw these for sale, I knew they had to be mine to reward myself–I’m a sucker for Nyaasu/Meowth as a maneki-neko always, but double luck with a Galar one I can’t resist.

I paid so much for fast shipping. ^_^; But I knew I made the right decision as soon as I saw the lovely packaging. (It says ポケモン 陶飾り Pokemon sue kazari, Pokemon ceramic decoration.)

First, we have Nyaasu in his standard form. Each figure is about three inches high and one of the cutest things I own.

Galar Nyaasu, about whom I really need to write a whole thing on how much I love them, has the opposite paw up.

Put them all together and my eyes form hearts.

I got these at pokevault.com, a website I had never used before. I ended up very pleased — if you’re looking for discontinued or limited Pokemon merchandise, I’d very much recommend them based on this purchase!
